Happy Thanksgiving! Yup, that's right for all our friends in the USA it's TURKEY DAY and we hope ya'll are having a joyous, safe time with your family and friends just like we are. But before we dash off to enjoy our vegan feast (yes, I baked a pumpkin pie or two) we'd like to briefly share with you a new tradition we have begun this year in the hopes you'll think it's as cool as we do and follow suite.
Yes, instead of fretting over how to cook a turkey (or faux turkey) we are adopting a turkey from Farm Sanctuary for Thanksgiving! Perhaps you've already been doing this for years and years but we'd never heard of this before and were blown way by how perfect it is for this time of year (yes, we live under a rock LOL).
We also think an adopted turkey makes an excellent gift for that hard to buy for person on your Christmas list. Think about it. It's unique. I mean seriously, unless you are lucky and your family is filled with vegans no one else is gonna get your granny a turkey, right? And it's a really GOOD use of the money supporting life instead of death. And does your granny really need another tchotchke that'll just sit in a drawer or gather dust on a shelf?
Anyhoo, that pie is calling to us so we've gotta scoot. Just remember to hug your Mom and drive safe if you're out. We'll see ya'll after we recover from our food comas.
