There are a great number of ways you can help Woodstock Sanctuary! So if you can't do one, there's probably going to be another way for you to contribute if you want to. Donating, volunteering, adopting. All these are ways you can help out!
There are subsets, different ways you can volunteer and donate. All of them are interesting and fulfilling in their own ways. I'll list them out for you.
- Adopt an animal
- Sponsor an animal
- Their In-Residency Program
- An Internship
- Become a Member
- Donate (monetary)
- Donate goods!
Donate Your Time!
See, there is a vast number of ways to help out. I'll explain a few of them here. The first one on our list is volunteering! If you are nearby or passing through, you might consider giving them a day (or at least three hours!) of your time! Go on and help them clean up after the animals or paint a barn. All that they very respectfully ask is that you be at least over the age of 14, or able to easily wield a rake and shovel!
They'd appreciate if you'd give them a shoutout at least 48 hours in advance so that they know your coming! You can learn more about volunteering your time HERE!
Donate Money And Goodies!
You can donate money, be it $30 or $1,000 it'll go to helping them care for their animals and keeping their education and outreach programs alive. Cash donations like this also happen to be tax deductible! You can also donate hard goods, they are always needing lots of different things.
They have an amazon wish list, they are registered as an Ebay nonprofit, so if you sell things there you can donate some of the profits to them. For a full list of what they need and how you can get it to them, look here.
If you just want to give them some money so that they can do whatever they need with it, look no further than right here.
Adopt A New Friend!
They do have animals that are in need of more concrete forever homes! You could be the person to give it to them. Since Woodstock Sanctuary is generally at or very close to full capacity, they simply can't handle all the animals in need all the time.
This is why they are always in close network with a multitude of other organizations and... People looking and willing to adopt these animals. From poor little bunnies to hens wandering around abandoned from "hatching projects" there is almost always someone looking to become your best bud. If you have room and the funds to take one on, go over here and consider adopting!
Now, as you can see these are just a few of the ways you can help out our friends at Woodstock Sanctuary. There are a number of other ways to go out and help them, but you can learn more about those at their website. Why not check out their news and animal bio's while there too?
